
Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – According to a November 4th announcement from the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission's Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group stationed at the Ministry of Emergency Management, and the Liaoning Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision, Luo Yunqing, a member of the Party Committee and Deputy Chief of the Guangdong Provincial Fire and Rescue Corps, is suspected of serious violations of discipline and law and is currently under disciplinary review by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission's Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group stationed at the Ministry of Emergency Management, and under investigation by the Tieling Municipal Supervisory Commission of Liaoning Province.
Public records show that Luo Yunqing was born in March 1968, is a member of the Communist Party of China, and holds a postgraduate degree. He previously served as Chief Engineer of the Guangdong Provincial Public Security Fire Brigade, and later as a member of the Party Committee and Deputy Chief of the Guangdong Provincial Fire and Rescue Corps, holding the rank of First-Class Commander in the fire and rescue field.
Previously, another person in the Guangdong fire service system was investigated: on July 22nd of this year, it was reported that Li Weibin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chief of the Guangzhou Fire and Rescue Detachment, was dismissed from his post.
Since the beginning of this year, according to public reports, several people in the fire service sector have been investigated.
For example, in August of this year, Tang Guozhong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chief of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Fire and Rescue Corps, and Li Junfeng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chief of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Fire and Rescue Corps, and member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Emergency Management Department, were investigated; in April of this year, Wei Xianri, former Director of the Political Department of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Fire and Rescue Corps, was investigated.
In addition, several people in the fire service sector have voluntarily surrendered themselves. For example, in September of this year, Xia Jinrong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chief of the Sichuan Provincial Forest Fire Brigade, Bao Yanping, Deputy Political Commissar and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of the Shanghai Municipal Fire and Rescue Corps, and Luo Shuang, Deputy Chief of the Yunnan Provincial Forest Fire Brigade, voluntarily surrendered themselves; in July of this year, Cai Weiguo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chief of the Zhejiang Provincial Fire and Rescue Corps, voluntarily surrendered himself.
At the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection held in January of this year, the fire service sector was explicitly listed as one of the key areas for anti-corruption efforts. The plenary session pointed out that "systematic rectification should be carried out in the fields of finance, state-owned enterprises, energy, fire protection, tobacco, pharmaceuticals, universities, sports, development zones, engineering construction, and bidding."
In addition, the Ministry of Emergency Management also made arrangements for inspection work this year. On April 30, the Ministry of Emergency Management convened a mobilization and deployment meeting for the 2025 inspection work within its system, pointing out the "implementation of the responsibility for comprehensively and strictly governing the Party, and the progress of Party conduct and integrity building and the fight against corruption."
Recently, the Ministry of Emergency Management also held a symposium specifically on the systematic rectification of prominent problems in the national fire protection field. The meeting pointed out that efforts should be focused on "strengthening the deterrent effect of anti-corruption," and that cases that have drawn strong public reaction and had a negative social impact should be investigated and handled swiftly, strengthening the use of cases to promote reform and governance.
