Le Tri Fang, Vice Chairman of the Hong Qie District People's Committee, stated that the export of the first batch of large green-skinned mangoes serves as a starting point for mango growers to actively learn about technology and new regulations for domestic and international markets. This will allow them to gradually improve product quality and design to better meet market demand, contributing to increasing the value of Hong Qie mangoes and helping local farmers increase their income and stabilize their livelihoods.

Nguyen Ngoc Ha, Vice Chairman of the Can Tho City People's Committee, suggested that to promote the sustainable development of the mango value chain and increase the province's agricultural exports to international markets, local agricultural authorities should focus on developing centralized production and cooperative alliances, creating convenient conditions for enterprises to collaborate on the construction of raw material zones, and meeting export demand.

Le Van Si, Deputy Director of the Plant Protection Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, spoke at the event, stating that Vietnam has recently opened up multiple markets for fresh fruit exports. Currently, Vietnam has nearly 7,000 fresh fruit export planting area codes and 1,588 packaging unit codes, meeting the requirements for fresh fruit exports to 60 countries and regions, particularly demanding markets such as the United States and Australia.

According to statistics from the Planting Department, the country's mango planting area reached 115,000 hectares in 2021, with an annual output of 1 million tons. Currently, Vietnam is the world's 13th largest mango producer.
