Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Yuncheng-Juancheng Expressway (hereinafter referred to as the Yunjuan Expressway) in Shandong Province held its opening ceremony on the 25th at the Guquan Toll Station in Juancheng County, Heze City. The expressway will officially connect to the network at midnight on the 26th, marking the addition of another major artery for development in southwestern Shandong.

The Yunjuan Expressway is an important east-west corridor between northern Heze City and Henan Province, and is also the ninth "connecting line" in Shandong Province's long-term expressway network plan of "nine vertical, five horizontal, one ring, seven radial, and multiple connecting lines." The project was invested and constructed by China Energy Engineering Group Gezhouba Group Three Gorges Construction Company.

According to Sun Zefeng, Executive General Manager of the Yunjuan Expressway Project of China Energy Engineering Group Gezhouba Group Three Gorges Construction Company, the project introduced three intelligent production lines during construction: a smart steel bar processing plant, a smart mixing plant, and a smart beam yard. Through deep integration of the BIM system and the smart beam yard system, QR codes allow for precise traceability of the entire process of casting, delivery, curing, and allocation of each beam. “Of the more than 3,000 beams used in the project, over 1,300 were produced using this method, significantly improving construction efficiency and quality,” said Sun Zefeng. This innovation not only reduced the production cycle of a single beam from 7-8 days to 2 days, saving over 70% in time costs, but also significantly improved the precision and efficiency of beam production, effectively reducing labor costs and quality risks.

In addition to the smart production line, the project also established a digital management platform. This platform covers core modules such as the command center's progress, safety, quality, measurement, and BIM+ technology system. These modules are interconnected and share data in real time, promoting a comprehensive digital upgrade of key processes. The project's digitalization rate exceeds 60%, and overall construction efficiency has improved by more than 30%.

Ming Chen, Chairman of Shandong Gezhouba Yunjuan Expressway Co., Ltd., stated that the Yunjuan Expressway effectively connects multiple north-south expressways, including the Rizhao-Lanzhou, Jilin-Guangzhou, and Dezhou-Shangqiu expressways, significantly reducing cross-regional travel time and further shortening the spatial and temporal distance between urban and rural areas. The journey from Jinan to Heze will be reduced from 2.5 hours to 2 hours, and direct travel from northeastern Henan to Heze will only take half an hour.

"Previously, transporting garlic required a detour of over 60 kilometers along rural roads to the Yuncheng expressway entrance. Now, we can access the expressway right at our doorstep, making transportation faster and cheaper," said Wu Jinyu, Party Secretary of Wulou Village, Jishan Town, Juancheng County. He added that the opening of the Yuncheng-Juancheng Expressway will save 20 yuan (RMB) per ton of garlic in transportation costs and attract more buyers, with the price of garlic expected to increase by at least 0.2 yuan per kilogram.

Heze is known as the "Peony Capital of China" and boasts abundant tourism resources. Feng Qijun, a member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Heze Municipal Highway Development Center, stated that the opening of the Yuncheng-Juancheng Expressway will undoubtedly attract more tourists, reduce regional logistics costs, and boost local agricultural product processing, trade and logistics, cultural tourism, and other characteristic industries, injecting lasting momentum into the region's high-quality development.
