Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) On September 29, 2025, the Wenzhou Intermediate People's Court of Zhejiang Province sentenced 11 members of the Ming family criminal gang, including Ming Guoping, Ming Zhenzhen, Zhou Weichang, Wu Hongming, Wu Senlong, and Fu Yubin, to death for crimes including intentional homicide, intentional injury, illegal detention, fraud, and operating a casino, with corresponding additional penalties. Following the first-instance verdict, Ming Guoping, Ming Zhenzhen, and other defendants appealed. After a hearing, the Zhejiang Provincial Higher People's Court ruled on November 25, 2025, to dismiss the appeals and uphold the original verdict, submitting the case to the Supreme People's Court for review.

The Supreme People's Court, upon review, confirmed that since 2015, the Ming family criminal syndicate, led by core members such as Ming Guoping and Ming Zhenzhen, established multiple industrial parks in Kokang, Myanmar, as well as in Shiyuanzi and Qingshuihe. They recruited and attracted numerous "financial backers," including Wu Hongming, Luo Jianzhang, and Jiang Ji, providing them with armed protection. The syndicate engaged in telecommunications and online fraud, operating casinos, and other crimes, involving over 10 billion yuan in fraudulent and gambling funds. The Ming family criminal syndicate also colluded with a telecommunications fraud syndicate led by Wu Hongming to intentionally kill, intentionally injure, and illegally detain individuals involved in fraud, resulting in the deaths of 14 Chinese citizens and injuries to many others.

The Supreme People's Court held that the defendants Ming Guoping, Ming Zhenzhen, Zhou Weichang, Wu Hongming, Wu Senlong, and Fu Yubin, among others, organized, led, and participated in the criminal syndicate's crimes, constituting more than ten charges including intentional homicide, intentional injury, illegal detention, fraud, and operating casinos. The Ming family criminal gang, led by Ming Guoping and Ming Zhenzhen, and the telecommunications fraud criminal gang, led by Wu Hongming, committed serious violent crimes including intentional homicide, intentional injury, and illegal detention resulting in death. The intentional homicide and intentional injury crimes committed by the defendants were particularly heinous in nature, with extremely serious circumstances and consequences, and were all extremely serious crimes deserving severe punishment according to law. The facts established in the first-instance judgment and the second-instance ruling were clear, the evidence was conclusive and sufficient, the conviction was accurate, and the sentence was appropriate. The trial procedure was legal. Therefore, the Supreme People's Court approved the death sentences of 11 individuals, including Ming Guoping, Ming Zhenzhen, Zhou Weichang, Wu Hongming, Wu Senlong, and Fu Yubin.

After receiving the criminal ruling and death penalty order from the Supreme People's Court, the Wenzhou Intermediate People's Court of Zhejiang Province pronounced and executed the death sentences on the 11 criminals, including Ming Guoping, Ming Zhenzhen, Zhou Weichang, Wu Hongming, Wu Senlong, and Fu Yubin. Before their execution, the criminals' close relatives visited them. (End)
