
Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On January 29th, the China (Guangxi) – Vietnam Border Provinces Emergency Management Cooperation and Exchange Activity was officially launched in Nanning. This activity provides an important platform for deepening cooperation in the field of emergency management between the border provinces of China and Vietnam, and is of great significance for improving the disaster prevention, mitigation, and relief capabilities of border areas and ensuring the safety of people's lives and property in both regions.
The activity aims to deepen mutual visits and interactions in emergency management and disaster information sharing between the border provinces of China and Vietnam, explore the potential for cooperation in disaster risk assessment, monitoring and early warning, and systematic disaster prevention and mitigation, explore new paths for coordinated development of emergency management, and promote the improvement of the quality and efficiency of disaster prevention, mitigation, and relief work in border areas.
During the activity, representatives from both China and Vietnam conducted comprehensive and in-depth interactive discussions on the core theme of "Disaster Management Cooperation between Guangxi and Vietnam Border Provinces" through various forms such as seminars, exchanges, and field visits. Both sides visited the training base of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Fire and Rescue Corps and the Nanning Emergency Response Center, among other locations, to inspect the construction of emergency support capabilities. They focused on key areas of cooperation in emergency management and disaster prevention in border provinces and regions, and exchanged in-depth working concepts and practical experiences. During this exchange, both sides focused on discussing the "Framework Agreement (Draft for Discussion) on Establishing an Emergency Rescue Cooperation Mechanism between Neighboring Provinces and Regions of China and Vietnam," and consulted on matters related to the signing of the agreement, striving to ensure the effective implementation of emergency management cooperation between border provinces and regions.
This event was jointly organized by the Department of International Cooperation and Rescue of the Ministry of Emergency Management and the Emergency Management Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and hosted by Guangxi Safety Engineering Vocational and Technical College. Delegations from border provinces and regions of Vietnam, including Quang Ninh, Lang Son, Cao Bang, and Tuyen Quang, engaged in comprehensive exchanges with officials from relevant departments of Guangxi, including emergency management, foreign affairs, forestry, hydrology, earthquake, meteorology, and maritime affairs, focusing on key areas such as integrated disaster prevention, mitigation, and relief, and emergency management and rescue, further consolidating consensus and expanding cooperation opportunities.
