During this period, 1,000 recruitment and matching events will be held targeting key groups such as rural laborers, registered unemployed persons, and flexible employment personnel.
According to reports, Chongqing will rely on the city's human resources database to collect information on returning rural laborers and registered unemployed persons through methods such as sending text messages, making phone calls, and conducting door-to-door visits to understand their post-holiday employment intentions; organize employment service specialists to "visit enterprises to understand their needs," focusing on key industrial clusters to identify urgently needed and scarce positions, exploring new business opportunities around emerging industries, identifying nearby positions in conjunction with county-level economic development and rural revitalization, and utilizing convenient services to identify urban and rural community positions.
Regarding job matching, the city will hold large-scale demonstration recruitment events, while districts and counties will hold intensive recruitment events in densely populated places such as human resources markets, temporary worker stations, night markets, business districts, industrial parks, communities, and transportation hubs. Micro-recruitment activities will also be held during market days in towns with high foot traffic. Locally, a combination of offline and online methods will be adopted to keep the temporary worker market open, providing "instant recruitment" services such as job recommendations and matching. Joint supply and demand matching activities between Shandong and Chongqing, and Sichuan and Chongqing will be carried out to facilitate employment opportunities outside the city.
Migrant workers are the main force of industrial workers and a key group in employment work. Li Yunyong, director of the Migrant Workers Affairs Department of the Chongqing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, revealed that since 2025, Chongqing has implemented a special action to promote local employment for migrant workers. By vigorously expanding job opportunities, strengthening policy support, and optimizing employment services, the city has comprehensively improved the local employment capacity and quality, maintaining a stable employment situation for migrant workers. By the end of 2025, 2.459 million migrant workers from Chongqing were employed outside the city, and 5.491 million were employed within the city, with the proportion of those employed within the city reaching 69.1%, an increase of 1.1 percentage points year-on-year.
