Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On March 25th, Yunnan Province's first fully integrated smart elderly care project combining medical care, health, and tourism – Yun Ganmei Yueyang Garden City – commenced operation in Kunming's main urban area. The project boasts a total construction area of 29,421 square meters, providing over 500 beds and supporting public service facilities such as medical care, entertainment, and catering. It integrates health management and daily living assistance services through a smart system.
The project adopts a three-pronged elderly care model encompassing institutional, community, and home-based services, creating a 15-minute elderly care service circle. Nearly half of the space is dedicated to public service facilities. The smart management system enables access to renowned medical resources and real-time health data monitoring, forming a closed-loop operation system for medical care and daily living services. The project has been selected as a demonstration case for the construction of Yunnan Province's medical, health, and elderly care service system.

At the launch ceremony, relevant officials stated that the project leverages Yunnan's unique climate advantages and health resources, focusing on addressing the challenge of supplying elderly care services in the city's core area through a fusion of "medical care + elderly care + smart technology." Once operational, the project will effectively improve the accessibility and professionalism of elderly care services in Kunming's main urban area.
According to reports, the project is led by a state-owned enterprise and integrates resources from multiple medical institutions within the province, deploying a professional medical and nursing team. The operator stated that it will continuously optimize service quality through the construction of a standardized service system and iterative upgrades to the smart platform.

As an important livelihood project addressing population aging, the completion of this project marks a new step forward for Yunnan Province in the field of smart elderly care. After its operation, the project will focus on serving urban residents with rigid elderly care needs, such as the elderly and disabled, exploring replicable urban elderly care solutions. The first batch of elderly residents has already moved in, and supporting community elderly care service stations are under construction simultaneously. (Zeng Zhen)
