Located in the southwestern border region of China, Yunnan Province is a vivid reflection of the diverse yet unified structure of the Chinese nation. In mid-last month, the "Integrating Beauty of Yunnan, Embracing the Spirit of China" Invitational Tournament for Strengthening the Sense of Community of the Chinese Nation, jointly organized by the Yunnan Provincial Ethnic and Religious Affairs Commission and the Yunnan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, was launched. The event aimed to focus on strengthening the sense of community of the Chinese nation, telling the stories of the Chinese nation behind museums (memorial halls) and tourist attractions, cultivating a team of guides (interpreters) for strengthening the sense of community of the Chinese nation, and continuously improving the ideological, knowledge, and skills of cultural and tourism practitioners in strengthening the sense of community of the Chinese nation, making them disseminators and practitioners of this spirit.

The invitational tournament was divided into professional and non-professional groups, attracting 274 contestants from 16 prefectures (cities) across Yunnan Province. The preliminary and semi-final rounds were held online, while the final was held offline. After rounds of selection, 15 contestants from both the professional and non-professional groups qualified for the final on the same day.

Contestant Ouyang Zuhui, from the Ethnic and Religious Service Center of Xinping Yi and Dai Autonomous County, Yuxi City, Yunnan Province, introduced the Huayaotian Ethnic Cultural Village in Gasa Town, Yuxi County, which uses cultural tourism integration as a path to innovate while preserving tradition, allowing ethnic culture to shine even brighter. Cheng Yang, a contestant from the Yunnan Zaxi Cadre Academy, explained to the audience the story of the collision between Miao blue batik and revolutionary history in Weixin County, Zhaotong City.
