  Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported that a 6.0-magnitude earthquake struck near Maluku province in eastern Indonesia at 17:15 on April 1.

  The epicenter was located 93 kilometers northeast of West Maluku Regency, at a depth of 157 kilometers below the seabed. No tsunami warning has been issued for this earthquake.

  Indonesia is frequently struck by earthquakes due to its location in the Pacific Ring of Fire. (End)
