Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – A series of themed events, "Air China C919 Resumes the Glorious Journey North of the 'Two Airlines Uprising'," was launched in Hong Kong on the 7th. At the event, it was announced that Air China's C919 aircraft will resume the northward flight route of the "Two Airlines Uprising" on the 9th.

At 11:36 AM on the 7th, Air China flight CA101 landed smoothly at Hong Kong International Airport. Upon arrival, the aircraft was greeted with a water salute, the highest honor in the aviation industry. This aircraft will operate the Hong Kong-Tianjin route on the 9th, the anniversary of the "Two Airlines Uprising," resuming the northward flight route of the "Two Airlines Uprising" to pay tribute to the patriotic act of the uprising.

In his speech, Hong Kong SAR Deputy Secretary for Administration Cheuk Wing-hing stated that using the domestically developed C919 aircraft to resume the "Two Airlines Uprising" route is of special significance. As an international aviation hub, Hong Kong will leverage its unique advantages under the "One Country, Two Systems" framework—connecting the nation and the world—to support the C919's entry into the international market.

Cui Xiaofeng, Director of China National Aviation Holding Company Limited (CNAC), stated that CNAC, with the spirit of the "Two Airlines Uprising" at its core, has carried out a series of patriotic education activities, whose spirit resonates with the patriotic forces in Hong Kong.

Ding Qingli, Chairman of the Hong Kong "Two Airlines Uprising" Association, who personally experienced the uprising, told a reporter from China News Service that he and his colleagues did a lot of preparatory work and overcame many difficulties. He was mainly responsible for organizing the equipment to be taken away. "We only knew we were going to revolt, but we didn't know in advance when or how we would leave." Looking back, Ding Qingli admitted, "I was really nervous at the time."

A photo exhibition themed "Wingspan Patriotic Glory Carrying the Flag, Flying North in Glory" was held concurrently at the event, vividly presenting the history of the "Two Airlines Uprising" and the practical process of cultivating patriotic sentiments, with the core themes of protecting assets, contributing, and inheriting the legacy.

On the same day, the Hong Kong "Two Airlines" Friendship Association also signed a cooperation agreement with the "Two Airlines Uprising" Exhibition Hall. The two sides will work together to integrate resources and create a new landmark for patriotic education based on the "Two Airlines Uprising."

On November 9, 1949, under the direct leadership of the Communist Party of China, Liu Jingyi, former general manager of China National Aviation Corporation, and Chen Zhuolin, former general manager of Central Air Transport Corporation, led more than 2,000 employees in an uprising in Hong Kong. Twelve aircraft from the two companies successfully flew to Beijing and Tianjin, returning to the embrace of the new China. This was the "Two Airlines Uprising," which shocked the world. The patriotic feat of the "Two Airlines Uprising" holds significant importance in the history of the Chinese People's Liberation War and the history of civil aviation in the new China. (End)
