
Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – The 40th China Shaanxi-Japan Kyoto Joint Exhibition of Calligraphy and Painting and the 9th China-Japan Student Joint Exhibition of Calligraphy and Painting opened in Xi'an on the 13th.
Shaanxi Province and Kyoto Prefecture officially became sister provinces in July 1983, and since 1984, they have held the "China Shaanxi-Japan Kyoto Joint Exhibition of Calligraphy and Painting" annually to promote cooperation and common development in the cultural and artistic fields between the two regions. This exhibition has now been held for 40 consecutive years.
Since 2015, the "China-Japan Student Calligraphy Exhibition" has been added, dedicated to cultivating young calligraphy and painting talents for both countries and carrying out cultural exchange activities between young students of the two countries, playing a more positive and far-reaching role in promoting cultural and artistic exchanges and cooperation between China and Japan.
This exhibition features over two hundred calligraphy and Chinese painting works by artists from the Shaanxi Academy of Chinese Painting, Shaanxi Academy of Calligraphy, and Kyoto Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, as well as nearly one hundred calligraphy works by young students from China and Japan. The exhibited works are diverse and varied in style, showcasing from multiple perspectives and in depth the optimistic and positive spirit of the Chinese and Japanese people in their pursuit of a better life. They also reflect the academic spirit of both sides in actively promoting traditional Eastern culture and exploring and innovating in artistic creation.
This exhibition, part of the 10th Silk Road International Arts Festival, will run until October 19th. (End)
