  Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On the evening of the 14th, the "Chang'an Night" cultural exchange event, part of the "Belt and Road" International Think Tank Cooperation Forum and the Second Silk Road (Xi'an) International Communication Conference, was held at the Cultural and Ceremonial Square at the South Gate of Xi'an City Wall.

  Wu Jiang, Standing Committee Member of the Xi'an Municipal Party Committee and Minister of the Publicity Department, delivered a speech and promoted the city at the event. He stated, "For thousands of years, Xi'an has witnessed the glorious history of Silk Road exchanges and cooperation. We hope that through this opportunity, we can join hands to build a bridge for cultural exchange along the 'Belt and Road,' jointly planning a new chapter of cooperation and creating a better future."

  Chen Gang, Deputy Director and Editor-in-Chief of Xinhua News Agency's Shaanxi Branch, said, "Tonight's 'Chang'an Night' cultural exchange event is an artistic display of 'shared beauty,' a bridge to enhance friendship, and a joyful night of cultural exchange and mutual learning."

  That evening, a Tang Dynasty welcoming ceremony performance was held at the Cultural and Ceremonial Square at the South Gate of Xi'an City Wall, allowing the guests to deeply experience the charm of Xi'an's long-standing ancient capital culture and excellent traditional Chinese culture. The cultural performances included acrobatic acts such as "Shoulder-to-Pointe Ballet," a duet of erhu and violin titled "Butterfly Lovers," and a fusion performance of Qinqiang opera and rock music titled "Longing for You," further demonstrating the conference's theme of promoting mutual learning and cultural exchange.

  During the exchange and sharing session, former Czech Prime Minister Jiří Parubek and former Pakistani Prime Minister's Special Assistant and Policy Advisor to the Secretary-General of the Boao Forum for Asia, Zafar, shared their impressions of their trip to Xi'an.

  It is reported that the Belt and Road International Think Tank Cooperation Forum and the Second Silk Road (Xi'an) International Communication Conference were held in Xi'an from October 13th to 15th. The conference, themed "High-Quality Belt and Road Construction to Promote Modernization in the World," invited over 300 Chinese and foreign guests, including former political figures, think tank scholars, heads of mainstream overseas media, and other prominent figures, to gather in Xi'an to discuss the communication concepts of the Belt and Road Initiative, conduct in-depth international dialogue and exchanges, and participate in related thematic activities.

  The conference was jointly hosted by Xinhua News Agency, the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, and the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government. In addition to the main forum, the conference also included the 2024 Council Meeting of the Belt and Road International Think Tank Cooperation Committee, a seminar on high-quality Belt and Road construction, a Silk Road media exchange and cooperation dialogue, the "Chang'an Night" Sino-foreign cultural exchange activity, and a "City Observation Group's Journey Through Xi'an" field trip.
