This upgrade marks a new stage in Thailand’s digital tourism development and is a significant achievement of the strategic partnership between the TAT and Mastercard.

  Kittipong Praphathong, Deputy Director General of Digital, Research and Development at the TAT, stated that the revamped “Amazing Thailand” app is a crucial step for Thailand in welcoming and serving tourists. Through this trusted national platform, Thailand will further enhance the end-to-end travel experience for tourists, strengthen its competitiveness as a global tourism destination, and create more development opportunities for local communities and businesses.

  The upgraded app integrates inspiration, itinerary planning, on-site exploration, and spending functions into a trusted ecosystem. Developed within the TAT’s “Amazing 5 Economy” framework, the platform further focuses on high-quality tourism revenue, innovative development, and sustainable tourism growth goals.

  The core highlight of this upgrade is an AI chatbot that provides real-time assistance, personalized recommendations, and practical guidance throughout a tourist's stay. It also integrates Mastercard's "Priceless Experiences" service, offering tourists curated Thai activities, culinary tours, and exclusive privileges at primary and secondary destinations, further enhancing tourist engagement.

  Through this deep collaboration with Mastercard, the Tourism Authority of Thailand combines its destination expertise with Mastercard's global digital capabilities and data-driven insights, boosting tourist confidence and encouraging greater participation in Thailand's tourism economy. Leveraging Mastercard's precise understanding of travel behavior, the app guides tourists to explore a wider range of accommodations, restaurants, shopping, experiences, and activities throughout Thailand.

  In addition to AI assistance and curated experiences, the platform integrates comprehensive travel planning tools. Users can create personalized itineraries, search for accommodations, restaurants, shopping, and attractions, access safety guidelines and VAT refund information, achieving seamless end-to-end travel planning. By directly connecting travelers with destinations, businesses, and local communities, the app is expected to extend tourist stays, expand spending, and create more opportunities for local businesses and SMEs across Thailand.

  Mastercard Southeast Asia President Safdar Khan stated that current tourism growth relies on trust, confidence, and seamless digital experiences.
