Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – Thai Army spokesman Boontai Suwari confirmed at a press conference on December 8th that the latest round of conflict on the Thai-Cambodian border has resulted in the death of one Thai soldier and injuries to eight others.
Boontai also stated that Thailand deployed its air force to intervene in the conflict because it needed to quickly intercept Cambodian weapons that threatened Thai troops and civilians. In previous clashes, Cambodia had fired similar weapons at Thai civilian targets, causing multiple casualties.
