The visit aimed to deepen bilateral cooperation, promote cultural exchanges, and exchange views on multilateral cooperation and regional development. It also highlighted Thailand's significant progress in the field of human rights, focusing on its work and achievements in combating online fraud that violates human rights. The Minister reiterated Thailand's commitment to a ceasefire and emphasized the importance of easing tensions on the Thai-Cambodian border and building mutual trust.
Furthermore, the Minister briefed the delegation on the outcomes of his meeting with His Excellency U Than Shwe, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar, in Phuket on February 18, 2026. The two sides held in-depth discussions on proposals for the orderly resumption of contact between ASEAN and Myanmar, Thailand's support for Myanmar's peace process, and cooperation in addressing cross-border challenges.
