
Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) On February 25, 2026, Thai Deputy Foreign Minister Wijaya Isarapakdi attended an Eid al-Fitr dinner jointly hosted by the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Thai Islamic Centre Foundation. More than 390 people participated in the event, including the Thai Islamic Minister, former Speaker of the National Assembly and former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Wan Muhammad Nur Mata, members of diplomatic missions from 22 Muslim countries, prominent figures from the Thai Muslim community, and representatives from various Muslim sectors.

In his remarks, the Deputy Foreign Minister emphasized that Thailand is a truly multicultural society, and multicultural coexistence has always been Thailand's core strength. He reiterated that deepening cooperation with the Islamic world, especially the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), promoting the development of Islamic affairs, and supporting the development of the Thai Muslim community are key priorities of Thailand's foreign policy.

The Eid al-Fitr dinner is the first meal for Muslims after fasting from sunrise to sunset during Ramadan. Since 2009, the Thai Ministry of Islamic Affairs and the Thai Islamic Centre Foundation have jointly organized this event annually to enhance friendly relations with diplomatic missions of Muslim countries in Thailand and to demonstrate the Thai government's firm commitment to supporting the development of its Muslim community.
