Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) Bangkok, February 11, 2026 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and Guangzhou Broadcasting System (GBS), a mainstream official media outlet in China, have reached an important cooperation agreement to further strengthen TAT's tourism promotion strategy in the Chinese market.
From February 3 to 8, 2026, the two parties will jointly film the popular cultural tourism program "Journey Through Mountains and Seas" in Chiang Mai, Lamphun, and Lampang provinces of Thailand. This cooperation aims to enhance Thailand's tourism image in China and attract more Chinese tourists to visit northern Thailand.

The program deeply highlights the close ties between China and Thailand, combining with the Tourism Authority of Thailand's "Five Must-Visit Attractions in Thailand" and "Explore New Thailand" themed activities, focusing on promoting immersive experiential tourism and precisely catering to the consumption needs of modern Chinese tourists for high-value, distinctive, and in-depth travel experiences.
The series is scheduled to air simultaneously on Guangzhou Broadcasting Network's television channel, official app, and mainstream social media platforms from February 13 to March 20, 2026, reaching an estimated 20 million viewers in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and effectively boosting awareness and confidence among Chinese tourists traveling to Thailand before and after the Spring Festival.

To facilitate the implementation of this cooperation, China Southern Airlines has added daily direct flights between Guangzhou and Chiang Mai, highlighting the growth potential of the Northern Thailand tourism market in China and effectively meeting peak travel demand during the holiday season.
