Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – On the morning of December 6th, the 2025 China-Thailand Friendship Cup Youth Table Tennis Invitational Tournament officially kicked off in Thailand. Chinese Ambassador to Thailand Zhang Jianwei, Thai Minister of Tourism and Sports Attaporn Phuntsok, President of the Table Tennis Association of Thailand Natawat, and President of the Reignwood Group Yan Danhua, among other guests, attended the opening ceremony, witnessing this grand event of friendly exchange between China and Thailand through table tennis.
This event coincides with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand and the "Golden 50 Years of China-Thailand Friendship." Recently, King Vajiralongkorn of Thailand successfully visited China, and President Xi Jinping and His Majesty the King reached important consensus on deepening the building of a China-Thailand community with a shared future. In his speech, Ambassador Zhang Jianwei stated that the friendship between China and Thailand has been passed down for thousands of years, and the "China-Thailand family" remains as strong as ever. He hoped that young players from both countries would make friends through table tennis, showcase their skills and abilities on the court, personally continue the profound friendship between the two countries, and compose a youthful chapter in the new era of China-Thailand friendship.
The event, themed "Ping Pong Spreads Friendship, Joining Hands for the Future," was supported by the Huabin Group and other organizations, and is an important part of Sino-Thai cultural exchanges. Twenty-five outstanding young table tennis players from each side competed, with a thrilling exhibition match presented by Fan Siqi, the Chinese National Games women's team table tennis champion, and Aruwan Prannoy, a top Thai player. The event also included a "Historical Photo Exhibition of Sino-Thai Table Tennis Interactions and Exchanges," showcasing the friendly exchanges between the two countries in the field of table tennis.
