  Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – Thailand's Ministry of Tourism and Sports released the latest data on November 18th, showing that from January 1st to November 16th this year, Thailand received 28,277,276 foreign tourists, with Chinese tourists ranking among the top.

  The top five source countries were: Malaysia (4,058,169), China (3,946,225), India (2,110,469), Russia (1,527,800), and South Korea (1,339,604).

  According to Taweewong, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, 689,431 foreign tourists entered Thailand in the past week (November 10th to 16th), averaging 98,490 per day. South Korean tourists saw the fastest growth this week, surging 15.98% compared to the previous week, mainly due to the arrival of the winter holidays in South Korea boosting tourism demand. South Korean tourists currently rank fifth in terms of visitor numbers.

  Taweewong stated that Thailand received over 28 million foreign tourists this year, a 7.18% decrease compared to the same period last year, but generating approximately 1.308 trillion baht in spending revenue. (End)
