Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is actively promoting the upcoming peak tourist season and is launching the "Surprise Pack" offline campaign at major international airports across Thailand, bringing the "2025 Thailand Passport Privileges" promotion to a climax. The campaign, themed "Privileges Beyond Expectations," showcases the charm of Thai hospitality.
On November 6th, Mr. Arthakorn Siriratayakorn, Minister of Tourism and Sports, Ms. Natria Taweewong, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, Ms. Thapane Kiapappur, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, representatives from Suvarnabhumi Airport, and Major General Katathorn Khumtin, Director of the Second Division of the Immigration Bureau, greeted international travelers at Suvarnabhumi Airport and presented them with "Surprise Packs"—unique souvenirs inspired by local culture, designed to leave tourists with an unforgettable first impression of Thailand. On November 7th, the Governor presided over a similar welcoming ceremony at Don Mueang Airport, with airport management personnel also participating.
Ms. Thapane Kiatpaipur, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), stated, “The ‘Thailand Passport Privileges 2025’ campaign is one of the ongoing initiatives of the TAT under the government’s ‘Big Impact, Fast Action’ policy, aimed at stimulating international tourism spending and enhancing tourist satisfaction. The campaign aims to drive spending growth and improve the travel experience for international tourists during Thailand’s peak tourist season.”
The “Surprise Package” campaign launched on November 1, 2025, at Suvarnabhumi International Airport, Don Mueang International Airport, and Phuket International Airport, and will run until December 15, 2025. The campaign has been well-received, adding vibrancy and enthusiasm to the arrival experience for travelers. The campaign has been highly successful, with travelers presenting their passports to receive the surprise package and redeeming exclusive privileges through the campaign's online platform. Currently, over 2,500 international travelers have participated, with the top five participating countries being China, India, Russia, France, and the United Kingdom.
Each exquisite gift bag contains carefully selected souvenirs inspired by five must-do experiences in Thailand: Thai dried mangoes to try, Muay Thai keychains symbolizing Muay Thai, must-buy Thai textile handicrafts (such as shoulder bags and scarves from Sakon Nakhon Province, and hats made from local fabrics from Phrae Province), must-see lifestyle souvenirs (such as hand-woven dinosaur keychains from Kalasin Province, Naga keychains from Bueng Kan Province, and ethnic tassel keychains from Chiang Rai Province), and must-see traditional art pieces (such as Khon and Pitta Khon opera keychains). Visitors can also scan a QR code to register for more travel vouchers, and the lucky bag contains special prizes worth over 1 million baht from Tourism Authority of Thailand partners.
The "Amazing Thailand Passport Privileges" program, now in its second year, comprises two key initiatives: a nationwide promotion offering discounts and privileges on travel products and services from over 300 leading tourism businesses across Thailand; and the "Amazing Gift Bag" gift program.
