
Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is pleased to announce that Nan and Songkhla provinces have been officially selected as members of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) for 2025, marking a new milestone in the development of Thailand's cultural and creative industries. Nan and Songkhla are renowned for their strengths in arts and crafts, folk arts, and cuisine, respectively. Joining this global city network will allow both provinces to jointly promote sustainable development through creativity.
On World Cities Day 2025, UNESCO announced the addition of 58 new cities from 41 countries to the UCCN. With these new members, the network now comprises 408 cities from over 100 countries, including seven in Thailand. Previously, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Bangkok, Sukhothai, Phetchaburi, Chiang Rai, and Suphan Buri provinces were recognized for their excellence in gastronomy, arts and crafts, design, and music.
