
Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) Recently, Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and Chairman of the National Security and Peace Council, General Min Aung Hlaing, met with a delegation led by Air Force Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Air Force, Air Marshal Saksam Khantha.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on promoting and deepening friendly relations between Myanmar and Thailand and their militaries, friendly exchanges between the two militaries and air forces, and the continued development of practical cooperation.
The two sides also discussed the successful holding of multi-party democratic elections in Myanmar (with enthusiastic voting and no objections) and the upcoming convening of the Union Parliament in Myanmar. Both sides stated that the Myanmar Armed Forces have maintained stability and are committed to helping consolidate the multi-party democratic system desired by the people.
In addition, the two sides held friendly consultations on training cooperation between the two militaries and related plans to further promote friendly exchanges and cooperation between the two countries.
After the meeting, the two sides exchanged commemorative gifts and took a group photo with the participants.
The meeting was attended by Ye Win Oo, Secretary General of the National Security and Peace Council of Myanmar; Air Force Commander-in-Chief General Tun Aung; senior officers from the Myanmar military headquarters; senior officers from the Royal Thai Armed Forces; and the Thai Air Force Attaché to Myanmar.
