Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Myanmar government continues joint operations in the Shwe Kokko and KK Park areas, focusing on combating telecommunications fraud and online gambling. The operation, conducted by a joint team of security personnel and administrative officials, primarily involves entering the affected areas to conduct searches, demolishing illegal structures, and taking further legal action.
Yesterday, authorities completed the demolition of three four-story illegal structures in Zone 3 of KK Park. To date, 485 of the 635 illegal structures in the area have been demolished according to law.
It is reported that the joint team has been conducting search operations in Myawaddy and surrounding areas since December 8th, during which 12 new illegal buildings used for online gambling were discovered, and four of them were sealed off yesterday.
To prevent the seized materials from being reused in telecom fraud and online gambling activities in the Shwe Kokko and KK Park areas, the joint task force has systematically destroyed them.
The Myanmar government emphasizes that eradicating telecom fraud and online gambling is a national responsibility. To ensure the complete elimination of such illegal activities within Myanmar, the government will continue to coordinate domestic efforts and strengthen cooperation with neighboring governments to advance related crackdown and rectification work.
