
Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of Myanmar's founding in 2026, various states, regions, and autonomous regions/special districts of the country recently held grand celebrations simultaneously. Chief ministers of states and regions, commanders of various commands, government officials, representatives of social organizations, teachers and students, and local residents gathered to celebrate the occasion.
During the celebrations, all attendees solemnly saluted the national flag of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, deeply remembering the deceased national leaders and comrades who sacrificed their lives for the country. Subsequently, the chief ministers of each state and region read the Union Day address by General Min Aung Hlaing, Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and Chairman of the National Security and Peace Council, conveying the vision for national development and a call for unity and progress.
To enrich the celebrations, a series of special activities were held simultaneously in various locations: commemorative plaque unveiling ceremonies, product exhibitions for small and medium-sized enterprises, food and agricultural product displays, and opening ceremonies for sports competitions were held successively. Chief ministers, commanders, and relevant officials from each state and region officially opened the event and joined the public in visiting knowledge-sharing booths and various themed booths, creating a lively atmosphere of interaction and exchange.
During the event, the organizing committee awarded honorary prizes and cash rewards to participating faculty and students who excelled in commemorative competitions and sporting events. A traditional ethnic food tasting area was also set up, allowing guests to experience the rich ethnic cultural atmosphere.
That evening, each state, region, autonomous region, and special territory launched a series of nighttime celebrations, including light shows and fireworks displays. The dazzling lights and the joyful laughter of the crowds added a festive atmosphere to the 79th anniversary celebrations.
