  Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – Myanmar's Ministry of Health announced that 1,520 newly graduated nurses and 361 newly graduated midwives will be appointed as civil servants in 2025. The appointment letters were officially issued on December 22nd.

  All those appointed are professional graduates: the new nurses have completed a three-year nursing diploma program, and the new midwives have completed a two-year midwifery diploma program. At the appointment ceremony, the Union Minister of Health emphasized that medical professionals providing medical services to the public must not only possess solid professional qualifications and skills but also strictly adhere to professional ethics. He urged all newly appointed personnel to uphold professionalism, hone their nursing skills, maintain a friendly attitude in interactions with patients, and earnestly fulfill their medical service responsibilities.

  Furthermore, the Chairman of the Myanmar Nurses and Midwives Committee addressed the graduates, advising them to strictly abide by the Civil Service Regulations and the specific rules and regulations of their respective hospitals in their clinical nursing work, uphold the eight-point nursing oath, and safeguard patients' health through standardized professional conduct.

  The Ministry of Health also revealed that a follow-up recruitment plan has been finalized, with another 1,762 nurses to be appointed in February and May 2026 to further strengthen the medical service workforce.
