Myanmar's shrimp exports reached US$17.75 million in the first seven months of the 2025-2026 fiscal year.

  According to the Myanmar Ministry of Fisheries, in the first seven months of the 2025-2026 fiscal year (beginning April 1st), Myanmar exported nearly 6,000 metric tons of shrimp to overseas markets, generating US$17.75 million in export revenue.

  Specifically, during this period, Myanmar's shrimp exports were mainly by sea, with over 5,440 metric tons of shrimp shipped overseas, generating US$14.8 million in revenue. Simultaneously, 536.86 metric tons of shrimp were exported to neighboring countries through border channels, achieving a value of US$2.94 million.

  The Ministry of Fisheries also disclosed that in the previous fiscal year (2024-2025), Myanmar's shrimp exports further expanded, with total exports exceeding 9,000 tons and export revenue reaching US$30 million.

  Currently, Myanmar's seafood export market is stable, and it continues to supply seafood to 40 countries, including China, Thailand, Bangladesh, and Japan, through sea and land border channels.
