
Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – A delegation led by Lieutenant General Kyaw Salin, Chief of Staff of the Myanmar Army, Navy and Air Force, is currently in Singapore attending the 26th ASEAN Army Chiefs-General Multilateral Meeting and related activities. The delegation, representing Lieutenant General Soe Win, Vice Chairman of the National Security and Peace Council and Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Myanmar Armed Forces (Army), attended the opening ceremony of the 26th ASEAN Army Chiefs-General Multilateral Meeting and the 13th ASEAN Sergeant Majors' Conference.
At the opening ceremony, Singapore's Minister for Defence, Chan Chun Sing, delivered a speech. The Chiefs-General of the Armed Forces and their representatives from ASEAN member states exchanged views on "Climate Adaptation in Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief Operations" and jointly signed the Joint Declaration of the 26th ASEAN Armed Forces Conference.
That afternoon, the Myanmar delegation held a series of bilateral meetings, meeting with Brigadier General Ardi Bin Haji Hassan, Commander of the Royal Brunei Army; Lieutenant General Amarith Boonsoah, Deputy Chief of the Royal Thai Army; Major General Syed Teck Seng, Chief of the Singapore Armed Forces Army; Lieutenant General Maruli Simanchongtak, Chief of the Malaysian Army; and Major General Khunthong Sokhavong, Deputy Chief of the Lao People's Army, to exchange views on further deepening cooperation in the military field.
In the evening, General Kyaw Salin and his wife attended a dinner hosted by Major General Chua Teck Seng, Chief of the Singapore Army, and his wife. During the dinner, they exchanged gifts with other guests, enhancing friendly relations.
In addition, General Kyaw Salin visited the Myanmar Embassy in Singapore, meeting with embassy staff, their families, and personnel from the Myanmar Army, Navy, and Air Force military attaché offices, and presenting them with food.
