At the "Rebuilding Myanmar: Post-Earthquake Economic Recovery" conference held last weekend in the capital Naypyidaw, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of the Myanmar National Management Council, announced a series of strategic plans aimed at providing more humanitarian assistance to the affected population and quickly revitalizing the struggling national economy. He emphasized that reconstruction is not only about repairing damaged buildings and restoring economic vitality, but also about building a safe and stable future. He called on regional and international partners to support Myanmar's new development vision and actively participate in investment cooperation.
Previously, on March 28, Myanmar was struck by a 7.7 magnitude earthquake, causing approximately 3,700 deaths and 5,104 injuries. The earthquake destroyed numerous roads, bridges, schools, temples, farmland, and factories. (End)
