
Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On January 1st, the Guangzhou Conghua branch of the China Sports Lottery – 2026 National New Year Climbing Fitness Conference (hereinafter referred to as the "Event") was held at the Wuzhishan Scenic Area of Liuxi River National Forest Park.
It is reported that the climbing event attracted more than 800 mountain climbing enthusiasts. Coinciding with the local "Liuxi Fragrant Snow" event, nearly 10,000 citizens and tourists were also present, climbing together to enjoy the New Year's sunrise.
According to reports, the event was held in the ecologically rich Wuzhishan Scenic Area of Liuxi River National Forest Park, and two distinctive routes were planned to meet the needs of different groups.
The challenge group's route is approximately 15.5 kilometers long, with a cumulative elevation gain of 1020 meters. The route starts from the main venue of the Wuzhishan Scenic Area, passing through Qingyin Bridge, Sanyatang Valley, mountain trails, Crescent Lake, and other scenic spots, finally arriving at the Liuxi River Reservoir viewing corridor. This route connects mountains, valleys, and lake views, offering hiking enthusiasts a challenging yet scenic experience. Upon reaching the summit, one can enjoy panoramic views of the lake and islands of Liuxi River Reservoir.
The leisure route is approximately 9 kilometers long, primarily featuring gently sloping lakeside trails and bamboo forest paths. It passes by places like Youth Mountain Villa and Luhutian Tea Garden, ending at the Liuxi River Reservoir viewing corridor, making it convenient for families and beginners to stroll and enjoy the hike.
Both routes traverse a "natural oxygen bar," with shady trees, babbling brooks, and endless bamboo forests along the way. Participants can appreciate the ecological beauty of Wuzhishan Mountain, characterized by its towering peaks and deep ravines, while exercising.
It is reported that the 2026 National New Year's Day Climbing Fitness Conference was held simultaneously in over 400 locations across 31 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities nationwide, with total online and offline participation exceeding one million. (End)
