Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – The "Million Talents Gather in Southern Guangdong" 2026 Spring Comprehensive Job Fair, jointly hosted by the Ministry of Education and the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and Government, was held in Guangzhou on the 15th. The "Striving for the '15th Five-Year Plan', Embarking on a New Journey in the Greater Bay Area" Million Talents Gather in Southern Guangdong 2026 Action Plan was also launched at the event.
The job fair, themed "Gathering Talents in Guangdong, Envisioning the Future," focused on promoting the coordinated development of manufacturing and service industries. It adopted a "two-hall, zoned, industry-clustered" approach to build a precise platform for matching industry and talent, and also hosted supporting activities such as innovation and entrepreneurship project achievement transformation matchmaking and a talent carnival, to better attract and serve outstanding talents from home and abroad to work and start businesses in Guangdong.
According to reports, this job fair attracted nearly 2,000 companies, including Fortune Global 500 companies, China's Top 500 companies, listed companies, and specialized and innovative "little giant" enterprises, as well as various public institutions such as schools and hospitals. It covered primary, secondary, and tertiary industries, encompassing traditional, emerging, and future sectors, offering over 85,000 high-quality positions. The fair also leveraged the "Guangdong Employment" mini-program and the Guangdong Public Job Search and Recruitment Service Platform to create a "never-ending" online recruitment platform.
Before the job fair even opened, it had already attracted over 150,000 college graduates, overseas students, and other talents to register. The venue was bustling with activity, with long queues forming in front of many booths. Reporters at the job fair noted a significant number of positions related to artificial intelligence, low-altitude economy, intelligent manufacturing, and biomedicine.
In the postdoctoral recruitment area, a "brain-computer interface + rehabilitation robot" product attracted considerable attention. Chen Yan, co-founder and general manager of Lizhi Intelligent Technology (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd., stated that this device can be used for rehabilitation training for patients with stroke and other conditions. It has already been implemented in dozens of large hospitals in China, contributing to the construction of brain-computer interface medical centers. The company hopes to attract more outstanding talents in neuroscience, automation, and new materials, offering annual salaries exceeding one million yuan for top talent.
It is understood that this recruitment fair offered nearly 30,000 positions with annual salaries ranging from 200,000 to 500,000 yuan, and over 4,000 positions with annual salaries exceeding 500,000 yuan. Hundreds of positions with annual salaries exceeding one million yuan were concentrated in recruitment areas for modern public services, software and information technology, and doctoral and postdoctoral positions.
Guangdong continues to build a talent hub in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, making the "peacock flying southeast" a new normal. Xiang Botao, Executive Vice Secretary of the Party Committee of Tsinghua University, stated that in the past five years, more than 2,800 graduates from the university have come to Guangdong for employment, making Guangdong the top choice for Tsinghua graduates outside of Beijing. In 2025, more than 630 graduates from the university will go to Guangdong for employment, setting a new record.
It is reported that Guangdong will strive to attract more than 1 million college graduates to work and start businesses in the province this year. (End)
