  Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Guangzhou Entry-Exit Border Inspection Station (hereinafter referred to as "Guangzhou Border Inspection Station") announced on March 14th that during the 2026 Spring Festival travel season (February 2nd to March 13th), the station handled a total of 2.191 million inbound and outbound passengers. Inbound passengers reached 1.067 million, including 299,000 foreign nationals, representing a year-on-year increase of 46.4%.

  During the Spring Festival travel season, the Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, Nansha Passenger Port, and Nansha International Cruise Terminal, all under the jurisdiction of the Guangzhou Border Inspection Station, maintained high levels of inbound and outbound passenger flow, exhibiting a trend of "increasing total volume, concentrated distribution, and diversified structure," with all data showing steady growth.

  In terms of passenger flow, the total volume saw a significant increase, highlighting peak characteristics. During the Spring Festival travel season, the station inspected an average of 54,000 inbound and outbound passengers per day, an increase of 18.7% compared to the daily average during the 2025 Spring Festival travel season. In terms of port distribution, Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, as the core hub, handles the vast majority of inbound and outbound passenger traffic, having processed over 2.114 million passengers and 14,000 inbound and outbound flights, accounting for over 96.4% of the airport's total passenger volume.

  According to the Guangzhou Border Inspection Station, the flow of passengers between China and other countries is showing a prosperous trend of "double growth," with outbound passengers reaching a cumulative total of 1.014 million. Short-haul cross-border travel remains the top choice for mainland Chinese residents, with approximately 42% choosing destinations such as Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Australia, Singapore, and Indonesia.
