Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – A protest group against the Trump administration's violent immigration enforcement announced on its website that it will hold a "National Day of Action" on January 30th and 31st, supporting the deportation of federal immigration enforcement personnel in Minnesota through strikes, school boycotts, and market closures.

The statement said that the people of Minnesota have set an example for the entire nation in stopping the "terrorist rule" of immigration enforcement agencies.

The statement said that people like Pretti were killed by federal law enforcement officers while exercising their constitutional rights, while "Trump and other right-wing politicians" have vilified them as "terrorists." Meanwhile, Trump administration law enforcement officers "continue to break into our communities every day, kidnap our neighbors, and create fear." Therefore, "it is time for us all to unite, create a national shutdown, and shout 'Enough!'"

The organizers stated that the initiative has already received support from hundreds of NGOs across the country, and protests will take place nationwide. However, according to reports, major school districts in Minneapolis and other parts of Minnesota have not yet announced school closures.

The National Nurses Federation announced on the 26th that its members across the country would hold a week-long candlelight vigil to commemorate registered nurse Alex Pretty and demand justice for her.

On January 23, tens of thousands of people from all walks of life in Minnesota braved temperatures nearing -30 degrees Celsius to protest against federal authorities' use of force. At least 700 businesses across the state closed, and schools were closed for the day due to weather and other reasons.

Since December of last year, U.S. federal agencies have been conducting enforcement operations against undocumented immigrants in Minnesota. On the 7th of this month, law enforcement officers shot and killed U.S. citizen Alex Goode during an arrest in Minneapolis, the state's largest city, sparking protests across the country. On the morning of the 24th, another immigration enforcement shooting occurred in Minneapolis, resulting in the death of 37-year-old U.S. citizen Alex Pretty, further escalating tensions in the city.
