  Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – This forum, hosted by the South Korean publication *Korea-China Quarterly*, was attended by nearly 100 people from the political, economic, and media circles of both China and South Korea, including Nam Jin, Deputy Director of the Northeast and Central Asia Bureau of the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Hong In-pyo, Editor-in-Chief of *Korea-China Quarterly*. Fang Kun, Minister-Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in South Korea, attended and delivered a speech.

  Fang Kun stated that China and South Korea are friendly neighbors, and the recent mutual visits by the two heads of state have injected new vitality into bilateral relations. He expressed his hope that media outlets from both countries would maintain objective and fair reporting on each other, further explore stories of friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation, and contribute to mutual understanding and affinity between the people of the two countries.

  The South Korean representative stated that this year marks the first year of the full restoration of South Korea-China relations. Both sides should take the opportunity of head-of-state diplomacy to strengthen communication and cooperation and open a new chapter in the South Korea-China strategic cooperative partnership. The media should play an important role in promoting exchanges between the people of the two countries and enhancing mutual understanding and trust.

  The participants conducted in-depth discussions on how to implement the outcomes of the China-South Korea summit and promote the development of bilateral relations. (End)
