Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – Australian Prime Minister Barnes announced on the 19th that a national day of mourning will be established next year for the beach shooting, and December 21st this year will be designated a national "Day of Reflection" to commemorate the victims of the Bondi Beach terrorist attack in Sydney.
At a press conference in Canberra, the capital, Barnes said that all government buildings across the country will fly their flags at half-mast on that day to show their condolences for the deceased and "express the shared grief of our nation."
He called on Australians to observe a minute's silence on December 21st and light a candle at 6:47 PM local time to remember the victims.
The shooting at Bondi Beach in Sydney on the evening of the 14th local time has resulted in 15 deaths. (End)
