During this period, Beijing Daxing International Airport is expected to handle 40,500 flights and 6.3739 million passengers; the average daily number of flights and passengers is expected to reach 1,012 and 159,300 respectively, representing year-on-year increases of 5.09% and 5.35%.
It is predicted that the peak of flights and passenger flow at Daxing Airport will occur on February 10th, with a single-day flight volume and passenger volume expected to reach 1,055 and 174,200 respectively.
This year's Spring Festival travel rush sees a high overlap of multiple passenger flows, including those returning home, visiting relatives, and tourism. Overall, passenger flow at Daxing Airport is expected to be highly concentrated before the festival and relatively flat afterward. Popular domestic destinations include Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Kunming, Xi'an, Shanghai, and Changsha, while popular international and regional destinations are concentrated in Moscow, Seoul, Kuala Lumpur, Doha, Bangkok, London, Singapore, Abu Dhabi, and Hong Kong and Macau. Recently, Beijing Daxing International Airport has launched and resumed routes to Phu Quoc Island (Vietnam), Colombo (Sri Lanka), and Malé (Maldives), providing travelers with more travel options.
During the Spring Festival travel rush, China Southern Airlines will launch new and additional flights to popular destinations such as Altay, Baishan, Jieyang, Mangshi, Guilin, Changde, and Jiamusi. It also plans to increase the frequency of flights on the Beijing Daxing-Bishkek route and launch a new Beijing Daxing-Urumqi-Baku route on March 1st. China Eastern Airlines will launch new routes from Beijing Daxing to Jiaxing, Altay, and Qiqihar, resume existing routes to Jiamusi, Changbaishan, Changchun, Xiamen, and Kashgar, and increase the frequency of flights to Yinchuan, Mangshi, Hangzhou, and Haikou. China United Airlines, recognizing the early start of the return travel rush from Northeast China, will increase the frequency of flights from Beijing Daxing to Yanji and Jixi. Xiamen Airlines will launch new routes from Beijing Daxing to Beihai and Qiqihar, and increase the frequency of flights to Luzhou, Quanzhou, and Guangzhou. (End)
