The completion of this modern "logistics base," which shoulders the responsibility of high-speed train operation and maintenance support and production and living services, will lay a solid foundation for the upgrading of the regional railway network.
The Dali Hub Supporting Project is an important livelihood project for improving the railway transportation system in western Yunnan and enhancing the high-speed train operation and maintenance support capabilities. The project's functional layout covers all areas including high-speed train operation and maintenance, equipment support, production and living facilities, and municipal infrastructure, providing comprehensive support for the safe and efficient operation of the Dali Hub. Its high-quality completion signifies the effective improvement of regional railway supporting projects and the effective enhancement of the overall railway transportation support capabilities and service levels.
Faced with the construction challenges of 24 individual buildings and complex professional systems, China Railway Construction Corporation Limited, as the contractor, scientifically arranged the construction schedule, coordinated resource allocation, and adopted a strategy of organizing construction in sections and at staggered times, enabling civil engineering, decoration, electromechanical, and process equipment installation to proceed simultaneously. The Dali Erhai EMU Depot has completed its full-scale decoration and equipment commissioning, with supporting ancillary works such as perimeter walls, pipelines, roads, and landscaping completed simultaneously to a high standard, forming a mature and comprehensive supporting system.
Since its commencement, the project has been focused on achieving its goal of opening to traffic, overcoming numerous challenges. Throughout the construction process, it strictly adhered to high railway construction standards, implemented closed-loop quality and safety management, and refined control standards for key components such as the inspection depot roof and the foundations of precision maintenance equipment. Continuous day and night construction ensured efficient and integrated progress across all disciplines.
