Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – The 14th Inauguration Ceremony of the Hong Kong Fujian Association was held on the 22nd at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Shi Qingliu, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) from Hong Kong, was re-elected as Chairman of the Hong Kong Fujian Association.
Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee, Fujian Provincial Party Secretary and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Fujian Provincial People's Congress Zhou Zuyi, Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Zhou Ji, CPPCC Standing Committee Member and Chairman of the Committee for Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Overseas Chinese Liu Cigui, along with over 2,000 guests and Fujian natives, attended the event.
In his speech, John Lee stated that recently, a leading new energy company from Fujian listed in Hong Kong, setting a record for the world's largest IPO this year, reflecting the added value that mainland enterprises gain by "going global" through the Hong Kong platform. He believes that Hong Kong and Fujian's complementary advantages will certainly contribute more development opportunities to the country's new productive forces.
Zhou Zuyi expressed his hope that the Hong Kong Fujian Association will continue its efforts to contribute to Hong Kong's long-term prosperity and stability and to Fujian's pioneering role in China's modernization. He expressed three hopes: first, to remain a staunch supporter of the "One Country, Two Systems" principle; second, to remain an active participant in the development of their hometown; and third, to remain a powerful promoter of Fujian-Hong Kong exchanges and cooperation.
In his address, Shi Qingliu stated that the new board of directors will build on past achievements, unite their efforts, seize opportunities of the times, further leverage their role as a bridge and link, pave the way for more members and young people to integrate into the overall development of the country, better serve their fellow villagers, benefit society, and contribute even more to the steady and long-term implementation of "One Country, Two Systems" and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
