
Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Department of Justice announced on the 20th the establishment of a high-level preparatory group for aligning with the national "15th Five-Year Plan." This group aims to make more comprehensive, precise, and detailed strategic arrangements to prepare for the national "15th Five-Year Plan" and actively leverage Hong Kong's legal and dispute resolution services within the framework of national development.
The preparatory group is chaired by Secretary for Justice Lam Ting-kwok and Deputy Secretary for Justice Cheung Kwok-kwan, with members including the Civil Law Commissioner, Legal Policy Commissioner, International Law Commissioner, and the Administrative Commissioner of the Department of Justice.
On the same day, the preparatory group held its first meeting to discuss the Department of Justice's key development areas, staffing, and resource allocation under the national "15th Five-Year Plan." After the plan is released, the preparatory group will transition into a drafting group, accelerating proactive alignment efforts and, as instructed by the Chief Executive, completing Hong Kong's five-year plan aligned with the national "15th Five-Year Plan" this year, thereby promoting Hong Kong's better integration into and service to the overall national development strategy.
Lin Dingguo stated that Hong Kong can leverage its advantages in internationalized, high-level, and reputable legal and dispute resolution services within the framework of the national "15th Five-Year Plan," actively participate in training international legal talent, and play a better role in the nation's international legal system development, thus contributing to building a higher level of rule of law in China.
