  Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Fung Ying Sin Koon in Hong Kong held a flag-raising ceremony on October 1st to celebrate the 27th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the 95th anniversary of its founding. The Hong Kong Youth Military Flag Guard raised the national flag, the regional flag, and the Fung Ying Sin Koon flag, while the national anthem was played.

  At the ceremony, Ms. Alice Mak, Secretary for Home Affairs and Youth Affairs of the Hong Kong SAR Government, stated that the national flag, national anthem, and regional flag are important symbols and emblems of the country and the SAR, and citizens must treat them and the flag-raising ceremony with solemnity. This flag-raising ceremony is not only an important part of national education but also an excellent opportunity to enhance patriotism.

  “Based in the North District of Hong Kong, the Fung Ying Sin Koon has made significant contributions to the North District community. The establishment of a flag-raising platform to cultivate patriotism is another benevolent act that benefits society. I wish the Fung Ying Sin Koon continued prosperity,” said Ms. Mak.

  According to reports, Fung Ying Seen Koon was founded in 1929 and is dedicated to promoting Taoist beliefs and culture, and undertaking public welfare undertakings such as education, medical care, and social services. Lam Chi-yau, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Fung Ying Seen Koon, stated that as a Taoist charitable organization, Fung Ying Seen Koon will continue to support the Hong Kong SAR government's policy blueprint and provide more social services.
