Hong Kong held its 2025 Honours Conferment Ceremony, with three individuals receiving the Grand Bauhinia Medal.

  Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) 2025 Honours Conferment Ceremony was held on the 15th at the Government House Ballroom in Hong Kong. HKSAR Chief Executive John Lee conferred honors and certificates to 405 recipients.

  This year, three individuals were awarded the Grand Bauhinia Medal, the highest honor under the HKSAR's Honours and Awards system: Feng Shaobo, Chairman and Founder of the Hong Kong Economic Journal Group; Yang Zhao, Chairman of the Hong Kong Sun Hing Group Limited; and Liang Zhiren, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and internationally renowned orthopedic surgeon.

  At the ceremony, 19 individuals, including the HKSAR Secretary for Justice Lam Ting-kwok, received the Gold Bauhinia Star. 26 individuals, including former Commissioner of Customs and Excise Department Ho Pui-shan, received the Silver Bauhinia Star. 43 individuals, including Tu Haiming, Vice Chairman of the Committee for Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Overseas Chinese Affairs of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, received the Bronze Bauhinia Star.

  In addition, 11 people received the Disciplined Services and Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) Medal for Distinguished Service; 2 people received the Bronze Medal for Bravery; 44 people received the Disciplined Services and ICAC Medal of Honour; 107 people received the Medal of Honour; 74 people received the Chief Executive's Commendation for Community Service; and 76 people received the Chief Executive's Commendation for Public Service.

  John Lee expressed his gratitude to all the award recipients for their significant contributions to Hong Kong and hoped that they would fully utilize their talents in various fields to serve the community. (End)
