At the opening ceremony, Truong Quang Hai, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Ninh Province, stated that the An Tu – Vinh Nghiem – Kon Son Relics and Sites is a highly distinctive cultural heritage complex, carrying profound historical, cultural, and spiritual value.

On July 12, 2025, at the 47th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee held in Paris, France, this complex of relics and sites was officially inscribed on the World Heritage List. Within Bac Ninh Province are the two core sites of Vinh Nghiem Pagoda and Phu Da Pagoda, as well as the heritage buffer zone within the An Tu Western Nature Reserve, occupying an important position in the entire heritage system and making significant contributions to ensuring the integrity, authenticity, and outstanding universal value of the heritage complex.

In addition to its tangible cultural heritage, the Dong Ho folk painting technique was also successfully inscribed on UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding in 2025, marking another significant achievement in the cultural preservation of Bac Ninh Province.

This special exhibition systematically showcases the formation and development of Bamboo Grove Buddhism, the core cultural value of its historical sites and landmarks, and the entire process of compiling the application for UNESCO World Heritage status through over 150 representative images, documents, and artifacts.

The holding of this special exhibition is not only a concrete measure taken by Bac Ninh Province to fulfill its responsibility for the protection and dissemination of cultural heritage, but also provides an important platform for the public, especially the younger generation, to gain a deeper understanding of their national history and culture.
