Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On the evening of February 27th, the 2026 National Cultural Ecological Protection Zone Construction Achievement Exchange Activity and the 3rd Longyan Intangible Cultural Heritage Night kicked off in Changting County, Longyan City, Fujian Province.

This event, hosted by the Fujian Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the Longyan Municipal People's Government, and organized by the Longyan Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism and the Changting County People's Government, will be held from February 27th to March 2nd. Using "Changting Comes to Liao" as its Hakka cultural dissemination IP, the event showcases the charm of the ancient city through a grand traditional Chinese style show, ten interactive photo opportunities, hundreds of intangible cultural heritage displays, and a thousand-person Hanfu parade, extending an invitation to visitors from all directions.

That evening, an immersive intangible cultural heritage fusion show was staged in front of the Jichuan Gate of Changting Ancient City. Connected by three chapters—Hearing the Echoes of a Thousand Years, Changting's Hakka Charm Reborn, and Changting's Lanterns Illuminating the Five Continents—the show presented the unique charm of Western Fujian Han Opera, puppet shows, and Shifan musical instruments. The opening ceremony, "Drumming Up the Dragon," brought the atmosphere to a climax.

Following the intangible cultural heritage fusion show, a 1.2-kilometer-long intangible cultural heritage market, themed "Delicious Drinks, Beautiful Views, Fun Activities, Delicious Food, and Great Performances," officially opened from the Jichuanmen city wall to Diantou Street. This market brought together nearly 100 representative national intangible cultural heritage projects, including Hakka rice wine and Changting dried tofu, as well as interactive performances such as paper cutting and shadow puppetry. A fireworks show at Mother's Edge Square brought this intangible cultural heritage feast to a perfect close.

The organizers stated that this event is an important measure for Longyan City to promote the city brand of "Fresh Fujian, Colorful Longyan" and implement the theme year of "A Journey Along Mountains and Seas, A Journey Along Songs" to boost cultural tourism consumption. It is also a vivid practice of the old revolutionary base area in promoting cultural benefits for the people, revitalizing the nighttime economy, and contributing to the high-quality development of cultural tourism. Longyan will take this exchange activity as an opportunity to deepen the construction of ecological protection zones and promote the sharing of the achievements of intangible cultural heritage protection by all citizens.

During the event, a seminar on the achievements of the construction of national-level cultural ecological protection zones will also be held, along with immersive experience activities integrating intangible cultural heritage and tourism. (End)
