Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – The 2nd Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Music Festival 2026 was officially launched recently. It is understood that the series of events of this music festival will be held successively in various cities of the Greater Bay Area from March to June, with the national grand finale planned for mid-August.

According to the organizing committee of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Music Festival, this year's music festival has widely invited music and art talents from the "9+2" cities of the Greater Bay Area, other cities in Guangdong Province, and across the country to participate. It will feature a series of music activities including the "GBAMS Music Award," master concerts, a music education development conference, and the Greater Bay Area Music Open Day.

Among them, the "Greater Bay Area Music Open Day" aims to deepen cooperation and cultural exchange among music and art lovers in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, and promote the integration and innovation of music creation. Musicians from the School of Music at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) will serve as professional instructors for this event.

To further expand its reach, this year's music festival not only continues its commitment to participation across all age groups, featuring categories such as "Budding Talent," "Rising Star," "Flourishing Talent," "Youthful Years," and "Arts Training," but also adds "Intangible Cultural Heritage Group" and "Original Music Group" for traditional music from Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, encouraging collaborative performances among participants from the three regions. This year's festival has invited renowned musicians from home and abroad to form a judging committee, aiming to create an influential music event brand project in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Furthermore, this year's music festival continues to respond to Guangdong Province's "Hundred, Thousand, Ten Thousand Project" initiative, further promoting the "Rising Star Project" music classroom series of activities in rural areas, expanding the scope of support for rural aesthetic education; continuing to use rural schools as a fulcrum for aesthetic education assistance, organizing more frontline music educators to go into rural areas to carry out music education assistance activities; and inviting experts, scholars, and frontline teachers to jointly explore practical paths for music education in rural areas.
