
Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) On the morning of December 14th, to solemnly celebrate the 33rd anniversary of Angkor Wat's inscription on the World Heritage List and to pray for world peace, the fifth "Thank You Angkor" cultural event was held at the Angkor Wat complex. Ms. Phongsakna, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts and President of the National Apsara Authority, attended and presided over the event.

The "Thank You Angkor" cultural event aims to commemorate and praise the great achievements of the Khmer ancestors in building Angkor Wat and other ancient temples, expressing profound respect for their forefathers; praying for a bright future for future generations of Khmer people, and wishing peace, prosperity, and happiness for the entire nation of Cambodia; and dedicating the merits of this event to the spirits of all the brave Cambodian soldiers who sacrificed their lives to defend their homeland and nation, as well as to the souls of all ancestors.

A solemn ceremony was held during the event, with prayers recited for the ancestors and the spirits of those who bravely sacrificed their lives in various branches of the military.
As an important part of the Angkor commemoration activities, leaders and staff of the National Apsara Authority visited various sacred sites within the Angkor Wat complex to offer sincere prayers and express their profound respect for their ancestors.
In addition, the National Apsara Authority set up a special exhibition area (booth) at the event, showcasing in detail the achievements made in the protection, maintenance, and restoration of the Angkor site in recent years to tourists and the public from home and abroad, demonstrating Cambodia's unremitting efforts in the preservation of its cultural heritage.
