This was one of the activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Lao People's Democratic Republic's National Day (December 2, 1975 – December 2, 2025).

In his closing remarks, Do Quoc Viet, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Film Bureau, emphasized that in 2025, a year of great significance for both countries, the Vietnam Film Week celebrating Laos' National Day has become a cultural bridge with profound meaning. Through the screening of feature films and documentaries, the organizing committee hoped to present a true and vivid image of Vietnam to the Lao people, showcasing the tremendous changes in the Vietnamese people and country during their integration into the international community, and, more importantly, conveying the spirit of solidarity and friendship cherished by both peoples.

During the six-day Vietnam Film Week, Vietnamese representatives introduced some representative works to Lao and Vietnamese audiences, including three Vietnamese films making their public debut. These films represent the Vietnamese film industry's sincere blessings to the Lao people, and also serve as a bridge to help audiences from both countries deepen their understanding, enhance their appreciation, and cherish the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos.

The organizing committee stated that the films screened at this film week will help deepen the friendship between Vietnam and Laos, bring the people of both countries closer together, and jointly safeguard the special emotional legacy bestowed by history. Each film conveys stories, images, and messages that not only possess artistic value but also contain profound cultural and historical connotations, vividly showcasing the loyal and united friendship between the two peoples.

The Vietnam Film Week is not only a film exchange activity but also an important opportunity for both countries to reaffirm their determination to continue cultivating and promoting their great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, and strategic ties. (End)
