On that day, Mr. Fu Hongying, Vice President of the Hainan Association of Cambodia, led council members and many Hainanese, young and old, to gather at the Water Tail Goddess Temple to burn incense and pray for blessings. The temple was bustling with activity, reflecting its former grandeur and showcasing the peaceful and prosperous society of Cambodia.
At 9:00 AM, the public memorial ceremony solemnly began. The council had prepared a ram, flowers, tea, and other abundant offerings to worship the Water Tail Goddess. All the Hainanese, with utmost sincerity, stood solemnly to offer incense and worship to the Water Tail Goddess, jointly praying for peace and prosperity for Cambodia, favorable weather, and for the prosperity of all their fellow villagers' businesses. In addition to the public memorial ceremony, the Hainan Association of Cambodia also held a feast at 4 pm that day at the Jicheng Public School, which is under the association's jurisdiction, to express gratitude to the members for their support of the association's work and their love for traditional culture.
