Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – Reporters learned on the 18th from the Taiyuan Municipal Bureau of Cultural Relics, Shanxi Province, that the "Masterpieces of Calligraphy – Baoxiantang Stone Carving Art Exhibition" opened that day at the Chengyang District Museum in Qingdao, Shandong Province. The exhibition features 67 exhibits (including 5 original Ming and Qing dynasty stones, 16 Ming and Qing dynasty rubbings, 36 rubbings, 4 replicas, and 6 publications), supplemented by high-definition digital images, interactive experiences, and cultural and creative displays, allowing visitors to experience the charm of stone carving art in an immersive way.

The Shuangta Museum houses the original stones and rubbings of the "Baoxiantang Collection of Ancient Calligraphy" and the "Ancient Baoxiantang Calligraphy Collection," which are artistic exemplars of Ming and Qing dynasty calligraphy and rare carriers of a thousand-year-old cultural lineage. These two collections bring together the essence of calligraphy from over a hundred great calligraphers spanning nearly 2500 years, from Cangjie to the Ming and Qing dynasties. Among them, the *Baoxiantang Collection of Ancient Calligraphy*, with its inclusion of works by the "Four Masters of the Song Dynasty" and its breaking away from the singular calligraphic style of the early Ming Dynasty, laid a crucial foundation for the transformation of calligraphic style in the mid-Ming Dynasty.

The exhibition, through three sections—"The Source of Calligraphy," "The Dance of Ink and Brush," and "New Rules of Calligraphy"—deeply interprets the historical origins, artistic characteristics, and cultural value of the *Baoxiantang Collection of Calligraphy*. This exhibition is the first traveling exhibition project launched by the Shuangta Museum and also the first time that the museum's core cultural relic, the "Baoxiantang" stone carvings, has been shown outside the province.

Liu Yuwei, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Taiyuan Municipal Bureau of Cultural Relics, stated that this exhibition's arrival in Shandong Province further builds a bridge for dialogue between the civilizations of Taiyuan and Qingdao. In the next step, both sides will further promote inter-museum, inter-city, and international exchanges and cooperation through creative transformation and innovative development.

This exhibition was hosted by the Taiyuan Municipal Bureau of Cultural Relics, the Publicity Department of the Chengyang District Committee of Qingdao, and the Chengyang District Bureau of Culture and Tourism of Qingdao, and organized by the Taiyuan Municipal Institute of Cultural Relics Protection, the Taiyuan Twin Pagodas Museum, the Taiyuan Jinci Museum, the Taiyuan Municipal Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, and the Chengyang District Museum of Qingdao, with guidance from the Shanxi Provincial Bureau of Cultural Relics and support from the Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism.
