Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) On March 24, 2026, His Excellency Sihasak Puangkchok, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, attended and delivered the opening remarks at the roundtable discussion "Geopolitical and Geoeconomic Outlook 2026 and Its Impact on Thailand (Second Round)" held at the Siam Paragon Nextopia Convention Centre.

This event was jointly organized by the Institute for Strategic Policy (ISP), the Office of the National Security Council, the Center for Strategic Studies, and the Center for International Studies. Representatives from Thai government agencies in the fields of diplomacy, security, and economy, as well as representatives from the private sector and experts and scholars in related fields, participated in the event.
In his remarks, the Minister of Foreign Affairs pointed out that the current global situation is increasingly volatile, impacting the rules-based international order. Against this backdrop, Thailand needs to maintain an appropriate and prudent diplomatic stance, adhere to the "3R" principles of regionalism, resilience, and relevance, continuously strengthen the ASEAN Community, and build the ASEAN region into a safe, stable, and investment-rich development hub. At the same time, Thailand will also make economic preparations and actively seek relevant investment opportunities.

The Foreign Minister further emphasized that middle powers should play a more active role in upholding the rules-based international order. Thailand can fulfill important responsibilities in areas such as maritime security, energy security, and food security, and will actively participate in transnational governance efforts, including combating online fraud.
