Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On February 25, 2026, Ms. Katalaya Patumros, Deputy Director-General of the Department for International Organizations, attended and delivered a keynote speech at the side event “Regional Action Call for the 2026 Asia-Pacific Sustainable Development Forum Youth Forum,” hosted by the Asia-Pacific Women’s Resources and Research Center (ARROW), during the 13th Asia-Pacific Sustainable Development Forum held at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok.

In her speech, Ms. Patumros emphasized that youth are a core force for change in promoting sustainable development, especially in promoting the localization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and advancing the sustainable development process with a people-centered approach, playing a crucial role and generating tangible and lasting impact.

She also revealed that the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in conjunction with the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security and the UNICEF Thailand Office, will jointly host the Sustainable Development Goals Youth Forum in 2025. This forum aims to provide a dedicated platform for youth exchange, deepening their understanding of the SDGs and offering them a channel to share perspectives and articulate their visions for sustainable development. It is worth noting that the opinions and suggestions from the forum's youth participants will provide important reference for the drafting of Thailand's next informal voluntary national review report on the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which focuses on youth groups.
