  Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – On February 9, 2026, Ms. Marathi Narita Andamo, Deputy Minister of Information of Thailand, attended a seminar entitled "Learning Lessons from the Thai-Cambodian Situation to Enhance the Future Capabilities of the Royal Thai Armed Forces," hosted by the Institute of Defence Studies. The seminar, chaired by General Ukrit Boonthanon, Commander-in-Chief of the Thai Armed Forces, attracted over 400 participants, including scholars, members of the National Security Council, senior commanders of the Armed Forces, cadets from the Joint Warfare Academy, and officer cadets from the Institute of Defence Studies.

  Serving as a platform for exchange between academia, diplomacy, and the military, the seminar aimed to review recent crisis management practices in the Thai-Cambodian situation, summarize lessons learned, and further strengthen the comprehensive capabilities of relevant Thai institutions in responding to future security threats.

  Deputy Minister Marathi Narita Andamo emphasized the crucial role of diplomatic means in responding to the Thai-Cambodian situation and stressed the need for the Armed Forces, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and other relevant institutions to strengthen understanding and close coordination, and strictly adhere to international principles and laws. She pointed out that this approach ensures that diplomatic actions are based on facts and supported by legitimacy at both the international and domestic levels, laying a solid foundation for the proper handling of the situation.
